ruination
I haven't blogged in over a week, and only two posts in the past two weeks; I think I've been feeling less digital since coming back from Mexico. It feels nice.
Speaking of Mexico, on our over-night in San Diego a few of us went to Stone Brewing which has the most amazing facility and bar of any brew-pub I've been to. Here's a picture of me drinking their Ruination. Anyone who likes good beer and ever comes within 200 miles of the brewery must make a trip there. Jer, Dan and I also brewed a Ruination clone a few weeks ago, and I think it may be my favorite beer we've done so far. It didn't come out exactly like Ruination, but it is definitely a great IIPA; so good that I'm going to brew it again on Friday.
Other cool Stone related news is that Crunchy's in East Lansing will soon be the first bar in Michigan with Ruination on tap, and 1/2 price on Sundays. Also, Stone recently announced they will be making another one of my favorites, the Oaked Arrogant Bastard, year-round.

That looks downright tasty. I'll have to remember it next time I'm within 200 miles :-)
Yum... Next time you guys come over to the west coast you've gotta stop by Santa Rosa and the Russian River Brewing Company. Good stuff!
Most certainly, I've heard amazing things! I'll be in NorCal visiting the parents at Christmas time, and I'll do my best to make it over to Santa Rosa, I'll let you know and maybe we could meet there for a brew or two.
I had the Oaked Bastard a couple weeks ago. I forgot to tell you. It's freakin' sweet. Good stuff my friend.
We'll have the guest room set up for you Brett!
