partying for Jesus

Adrian Warnock has a blog post with this same title where he points to TheResurgence article which asks the question:

"...if God is renewing all things to himself through Christ, if you are united to Jesus and standing before God forgiven, then why is your social life so boring? Why are you not either at a party or throwing a party every weekend? Why are you not inviting people into your community of celebration?"

Like everything, this can be taken to the wrong extreme, after all, there is work to be done. However, it is encouraging to read questions like those, recognize their importance, and then think of Dan and Suzanne who are living ahead of this question by having people, and often strangers, over almost every weekend after evening church. Cool stuff.
